SPL Security Solutions
About
SPL Security Solutions, based in Bundall on the Gold Coast, has a 4.2 rating from 204 reviews, making it one of the more mixed records in the area. Many reviews praise friendly, knowledgeable front-desk and locksmith staff, competitive pricing on items like car fob batteries, and cases where customers were not charged for quick fixes. However, other reviews describe slow response times, poor communication and a focus on quoting call-out and after-hours fees rather than resolving urgent problems promptly. Prospective customers should weigh both sets of experiences, as the feedback is genuinely split between strongly positive and clearly disappointed reviewers.

Very poor service and very expensive trying to replace lost keys + fobs
Another great interaction with the team at Surfers Paradise Locksmiths today. They are so polite and go out of their way to assist. Very professional and really nice people.
Scott and Jacob deserve a pay rise , extraordinary service
Lucy at front desk is great. Very professional and friendly. It is rare to be treated so well as a customer. They charged $10 to change my battery in my car fob. The key places in shopping centres charge $30 which tells me that the prices on other items would be reasonable at SPL.
Highly recommended! They have a very full selection hardware and services. The locksmith’s are not only friendly but very knowledgeable and they give the impression that they really enjoy what they do - and it’s always nice to work with people who have this type of joy in their work. 5/5 service!
Excellent service, positive attitude and always helpful was our experience with our most recent work performed by SPL. Vince provided total confidence in finding the best parts, providing clear quotations and booking the job promptly for us. Locksmith, Saxon, is highly skilled, a perfectionist and unfailingly polite and helpful. Thank you to the team, once again.
Slow to respond and disappointing service. We raised a request the day before and clearly flagged it as urgent, providing all billing details promptly. Despite this, there were delays on their end, and the issue wasn’t attended to during standard hours. When the delay became time-critical, the focus shifted to quoting call-out and after-hours fees, rather than resolving a problem that already existed. Being told someone might attend only after hours — at additional cost — for a job raised the previous day felt unfair and opportunistic. Overall, poor communication and an approach that appeared more focused on charging than customer service.
