Sunset Locksmiths

Richard Pilat is named repeatedly across feedback for Sunset Locksmiths in Adelaide, and the accounts share a common shape: a call placed, a fast arrival, and a problem resolved on the spot. Response times feature prominently, with customers describing how quickly he reached them after calling, sometimes within ten minutes, for house lockouts, vehicles that would not start and stubborn door mechanisms. Communication is another point that comes up often, since he phones ahead while travelling and arrives exactly when promised, at times earlier.

The finished result draws equal praise, particularly vehicle key cutting and coding, including replacement fobs and remote keys that owners report worked better than the originals. Charges are consistently described as fair and transparent, with one customer noting a quote well below a dealership figure for the same work. Several doors, new barrels and a flawed door made lockable again were all handled capably in one visit. His polite, knowledgeable manner, the friendly help of his wife on an urgent call and the general ease of the process round out the recurring themes.

Richard arrived on the day promised and early. We explained the issues and he just got on with the multiple locks that needed new barrels and key. He diagnosed a significant flaw in one of our doors but made good so it is at least lockable until it can be replaced. We have no complaints and would definitely use Richard again! 😃

Great service! I called Richard on a Saturday morning and he drove straight around. Assisted with getting into my house after I misplaced the keys. Highly recommended!

Richard Pilat communicated well, phoned when on his way, arrived early and then promptly diagnosed a complex door lock issue and fixed the problem, together with 2 other doors within an hour. Fairly priced, knowledgeable and polite. I highly recommend Richard.

Fantastic friendly service. Got my car key cut and coded within 20 mins

Very professional and extremely helpful, highly recommend Richard!

Fantastic service and skilled craftsmanship. I had my car remote key replaced previously at a different locksmith where it was cut so poorly it wouldn't open the boot, and I was told I only had one choice for the key, this flismy housing that wore down fast. Richard identified and fixed the issues and provided me with two new remote keys, better than my original. Absolutely recommended!

Great bloke, arrived when expected and didn’t disappoint
