Absolutely amazing service and Friendly, knowledgeable trades men.
Lost my garage key. Brought the lock into the team and they had two new keys cut in 5mins flat. The service was friendly and the workmanship professional
Honest, straightforward experience. Volunteered his opinion and experience before task.
These locksmiths were not friendly and did not care about what I had to say post completing the job. If you would rather support friendly, “can do” attitude locksmiths, keep looking. My experience with Ameen's Locksmith below: They installed child safety locks in a super inconvenient location on my kitchen windows (photos attached). When I called them just to ask if they could look at the placement and reconsider the location, they were immediately rude, defensive and made me feel stupid for questioning their work. 20 seconds into the call, the Ameen’s person was telling me “we’ve installed locks to millions of buildings just like yours we know what we’re doing”. Never asked to see a photo of the placement or even ask questions to know more about my situation. Immediately shut down and made to feel stupid. I had to ask him if I could just email them a picture of the lock placement so they could see it. What was wrong with the placement? They installed them to the tops of the windows sticking almost into your face when you’re leaning over the kitchen bench top and impacting the look of the kitchen. Installing at the base would be nice and hidden behind the backsplash but installation would have been a bit fiddly. I was there on the day when they installed them but trusted they were the professionals and just decided to try live with the locks on the top. I should have told them on the spot to stop and reinstall at the base but I didn’t. So, after I sent the email with the photos, someone else from Ameen’s called me who was just as rude, pretty much telling me that relocating them was impossible and I’m asking them to do the impossible. Seriously I could relocate them myself with a drill. I still can’t understand how as professionals they would be so quick to call this job impossible. In the end they agreed to visit me on their next trip to the building and see it in person with me. On the day someone came and relocated the locks without saying anything really. I thanked the installer and that was the end. Thanks Ameen’s for relocating them in the end but I just wouldn’t recommend these locksmiths to anyone else for how rude they were and how unwilling they were to listen and help. I thought about not leaving a review of my experience because in the end they did relocate the locks but honestly the whole ordeal was so negative and I’m not used to being spoken to in such a rude way by a person let alone professionals running a business.
I called Ameen to change a battery in my car key and he gave me a great price. Unfortunately he could not open the car key motherboard without breaking it due to it being glued together by a previous key repairer but still took 15 minutes of his own time for free to try and clear the glue off. I will be using Ameen for any lockouts or key repairs in the future because of his transparency, competitive pricing and helpfulness.
I locked my self out of my car. I called 5 places looking for just a quote. The first 4 told me they would have their technicians call me back or give me a quote once they got here. Ameen's didn't, and they told me up front how much and how long it would take (20 min). He arrived at the time he told me, and he was fast at getting my car open. I seem to lock myself out of my car lot. Now Ameen's Lock Smith will be the onIy place I call from now on.
Ameen's has the right idea about a business. Friendly, courteous, knows his profession, and price is very reasonable. You get the feeling he takes his job seriously and with pride. He answers all questions you have, and looks to give you the most appropriate options based on your needs. I can see why a lot of folks gave him 5 stars, and I will too... :-)
