Lock and Shield Locksmiths

Newcastle residents have come to know James as the locksmith who answers when a door latch fails, a house is locked, or car keys are stolen and need reprogramming. His name recurs in accounts of jobs handled late in the evening, during public holidays and in awkward moments, with customers recalling that he arrived soon after the call and had the work finished quickly. Reviews regularly refer to fair pricing and a friendly, patient manner, including one instance where a small shortfall was added to the bill instead of becoming a problem.

A recurring theme is the advice offered over the phone, with the team asking for photos of a broken latch and explaining a self-fix rather than insisting on an attended job. Property managers value his steady response to ongoing requests, nothing seeming too much trouble. The reprogramming of a car key that another tradesperson had abandoned is recalled as solved with ease, and door and lock replacements are described as completed properly. Calm handling of curve balls and polite communication stand out across the feedback, alongside the sense that the job gets done without fuss.

Just wanna say a big thank you to James for coming out and helping me and my friends he was so easy and quick and done an amazing job would recommend him

Quick, great service! Very happy.

Top fella, a professional for sure and more than reasonable pricing. Thanks again mate

My door latch fell off, I called and spoke to the team. They asked for photos, after I sent them, instead of charging me a million dollars for a call out fee, the explained how to fix myself. Not everyday you get kind, courteous assistance. Can’t thank them enough

Thank you James!! Professional, friendly and efficient, James got us back into our house when we got locked out, even at 9pm at night :)

James absolutely saved us. We arrived back to the airport after a long weekend and couldn't find our keys. He answered the phone on a public holiday and drove out to the airport at 11pm at night to reprogram the key and get into our tool boxes. Honestly saved us big time and we couldn't be more appreciative. Thank you so much. Highly recommend!

James is super reliable and always responds to any queries or jobs we have and as a property manager it is a lot! Nothing is ever a hassle and he gets the job done! Highly recommend!
