Northside Locksmiths

Northside Locksmiths handles both residential and automotive lock work, and the pattern running through customer accounts is consistent helpfulness from first contact to finished job. Several buyers describe the office team, including Emily and Will, as knowledgeable and easy to deal with, while Hunter and Nick are named repeatedly for quick, patient service on everything from snapped car keys and broken-into utes to smart deadlocks and roof rack locks.

Reviewers repeatedly mention punctuality and efficiency: technicians arrive when promised, finish sooner than expected, explain how new hardware works, and tidy up details such as trimming around an installed lock for a clean finish. Fair, clearly quoted pricing comes up often, with no pressure or upselling when repairs are quoted after a break-in.

Customers also value the range of work handled in one visit, including re-keying multiple locks to a single key, cutting a key for a second-hand door, supplying strike and face plates, programming garage remotes, and replacing locks that had been put off. Emergency call-outs and repeat business feature in the feedback, as does the advice given on keeping locks from seizing again. The recurring theme is reliable workmanship combined with straightforward communication, from the initial phone call through to a functioning lock.

Be very careful when dealing with this company. I negotiated a price on a second-hand machine that was advertised online. At no point did the advertisement state that GST was extra, and throughout the entire negotiation process the seller never mentioned that GST would be added to the agreed price. Once we had agreed on a price, I was sent an invoice with GST added on top. When I questioned the additional charge, I was told the sale would not proceed unless I paid the extra GST. In my view, if GST is going to be charged in addition to the advertised or negotiated price, this should be clearly disclosed upfront so customers can make an informed decision. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. Based on my experience, I would recommend getting written confirmation of the total price, including any GST or other charges, before proceeding.

Fast and efficient service from the team. I've been a repeat customer and they always do what they can to assist in an emergency.

Had a great experience with Northside Locksmiths today. Hunter was quick to help and sorted a simple key issue for my roof racks on the spot. He even gave me some handy advice on how to free up the locks so they don’t seize again. I was recommended to them by Roof Racks Galore next door, and I can see why, awesome, friendly service and super convenient. Highly recommend!

Northside Locksmiths can to my rescue this morning to fix an external aluminium sliding door lock problem. They arrived as arranged and fixed the problem expertly. Very polite and professional, I would use them again in a heartbeat if I ever get another lock problem.

My Nephew told me to get my new garage remotes from this company and I was glad I took his advice I am not able to take a lot in with my disability yet the young man (Hunter) Was very helpful polite and patient with taking me through how to do all this he is definitely in the correct job I thank him very much

Very helpful! They created a key for a lock on a second hand door (that had no key), provided a new strike plate, and a face plate. Very professional and fast. Recommended

Used twice for replacement car keys and a broken door lock. Both times very happy with the work. Nick was great, as was the other guy, whose name I forget. First guy was running 15 minutes late but rang me to tell me. Nick was spot on time. Prices are good too.
