Amalgamated Locksmiths

Lock repairs, key cutting and emergency call-outs form the core of the work described by customers of Amalgamated Locksmiths in Collingwood. Eric is named repeatedly for his courteous manner, clear explanations of the options and costs, and the speed with which he diagnoses and fixes faulty locks, whether on a rear door or during a same-day visit. David, too, earns praise for patience and an accommodating approach, including for a customer who arrived close to closing time. Reviews time and again mention that the whole process, from the first phone call through to completion, is explained at every stage, with admin staff answering questions plainly and quoting transparently.

Several customers describe the pricing as fair and on point, and one notes that no charge was made when a damaged key fob battery could not be replaced successfully. Emergency work features strongly, with a late-night lockout resolved quickly and the property checked afterwards for security. A technician who installed a new lock talked through after-sales support, and the replacement of a broken lock was finished with everything tested before departure. Punctuality and professional conduct come up often, as does the friendly, respectful attitude of the team.

Fast response and great customer service. The technician replaced my broken lock efficiently and made sure everything worked perfectly before leaving. Highly recommended!

Our rear door lock has been failing. Eric of Amalgamated Locksmiths on Smith Street, Collingwood, came the same day that I phone, and he diagnosed the problem and fixed it, quite thoroughly and courteously. I heartily and gratefully recommend Eric, and therefore probably the whole of Amalgamated Locksmiths. Cheers, Chip Kaufman, North Fitzroy VIC

Today I received excellent customer service from David and the team at Amalgamated Locksmiths in Collingwood. I had spoken with David on the phone last week and he was patient while I spent time explaning my problem, and informative about my how they could help. Today was exceptionally accommodating and patient again (even though I arrived right on clising time). His attitude is one of 'can do' not at all 'too hard' or you're asking too much'. This sort of attention, and willingness to work with someone on their challege, is exceptional, and despite there being a locksmith in my own neighbourhood (who was completely closed to the possibility of something out of the ordinary) I will definitely be using, and also highly recommending, Amalgamated in Collingwood for any future locksmith needs. Big thanks!

Fixed my old car key same-day, and even when he could have made a duplicate of the old, worn key, he instead went the extra distance and properly made a good-as-knew replacement. Even included the diagram on a piece of paper for if I need to make another at any point. Fantastic service all up, can recommend

Very friendly service and didn't charge me when they weren't confident if replacing the battery in my key fob would work because it was damaged! (If you're reading this - no it didn't work haha) Thanks for your help and I will recommend you to anyone 😊

Will recommend you guys to everyone needing a locksmith in future. Eric who came by today was incredibly respectful and kind and explained everything very thoroughly. I’m incredibly impressed :) thank you!!

I contacted a few locksmith companies, and this team was by far the most approachable. The admin staff answered all my questions clearly, explained my options without any judgement, and were transparent and fair with pricing. The technician on the day was friendly, professional, and communicated everything thoroughly while working efficiently. Overall, everything went smoothly from start to finish. I’d highly recommend them to anyone needing a reliable locksmith.
