Brisbane Locksmiths

Recurring complaints about Brisbane Locksmiths centre on pricing and reliability. Several buyers describe being quoted one figure before a job only to face a higher charge afterwards, with the final cost not confirmed despite repeated requests, leaving them feeling misled. Others report waiting well beyond an agreed time for a technician to arrive, or being told repeatedly that someone was on the way without anyone appearing, in one case over a period of months until another locksmith completed the work.

Difficulty reaching the business by phone, followed by rude responses once contact was made, comes up often, and one customer describes a key cutting job where the finished key did not work and no refund or remedy was offered. On the positive side, some reviewers recall prompt attendance, friendly and helpful counter staff, fair prices and a commercial padlock that was in stock when other suppliers had none. The quality of completed work and clear communication about what a job would cost are the points where experiences diverge most sharply.

What a waste of time not once but twice in the same day. First they dont open on time. Said 9am but no one was there so I went home. Came back later in the afternoon with a very simple isuzu key. But after making me wait again for 10mins said that oh they have to order the blanks for this application. Its the most common key for isuzu. Hopeless. Dont waste your time. No idea how this business is surviving. No wonder the 2 star rating you have. Keep it up.

I had a bad experience with this service. They sent me an estimated price between $350 and $420, but during the job, they refused to confirm the final cost even when I asked many times. They kept saying “the program” decides the price. In the end, they tried to charge me $520 — $100 more than promised. I felt they were trying to trick me. The technician arrived one hour late, gave no invoice or receipt, and never showed any ID or gave a name. Communication was confusing and unprofessional, especially since I had just gone through a robbery at home. This was unfair and dishonest. I do not recommend this service. If you still choose them, demand everything in writing upfront: the price, their ID, and the invoice.

Phoned around a few locksmiths, but only Brisbane Locksmiths had the commercial padlock I wanted in stock - and for an excellent price. Called in to pick it up and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Strongly recommend.
