Southbank Locksmiths and Security Services Pty Ltd

Reliability and a personal touch stand out most in the accounts left about this West End locksmith. Several customers describe technicians turning up exactly when promised, including a household lockout sorted within fifteen minutes of a phone call, and reviewers repeatedly note that staff explain how locks work and show customers how to operate them, a habit valued by those unfamiliar with the hardware.

The counter team draws consistent praise for patience and helpfulness, whether cutting keys, opening a storage case on the spot, or walking a visitor to a nearby repair shop. Fair, transparent pricing is a recurring theme, with one account describing a staff member suggesting the property manager be contacted first to avoid an unnecessary charge, and another contrasting the cost favourably with a previous locksmith.

Named team members such as Wing and George are singled out for friendliness and depth of knowledge, the latter tackling a set of European vehicle locks that other trades had turned away. Reviewers also appreciate dealing with a shop-based operation rather than a call centre, quick turnaround on key duplication, and an early opening that allows a visit before work. Fast, friendly and pragmatic service comes up again and again, with local familiarity rounding out the picture.

Went in to get a key cut. Was told to come back the next day because he was busy. Then said it would cost $66. I had it done elsewhere straight away for $28.50. Not recommended.

Excellent and always friendly. Great company and will always support whenever. Outstanding customer service and craftsmanship.

I love that this locksmith is not in a shopping centre and open early so I could just pop in before work. Fantastic service and very quick! The keys were cheap too. Thanks guys!

Arrived when they said they would. Explained the locks and showed me how to use. I’m a clux so appreciated the calm and patience. reasonable price. Knew my building, so familiar. Bonus-local knowledge.

Such a wonderful experience with Southbank Locksmiths and Security Services! They were incredibly kind and helpful—fixed two of my keys quickly and didn’t even charge me. It’s rare to find service this genuine and generous. Highly recommended!

I had a great experience with them recently when I lost a set of keys. Not only did they do a great job copying and cutting new keys for an old lock, they went out of their way to immediately open my storage case so that I could get access to my backpack with my things. Friendly, pragmatic and on-the-pulse staff. Highly recommended!

Had a great experience today at the store! The lovely Asian lady working the front desk went out of her way to walk me somewhere when I asked for directions. I’m visiting from Melbourne so wasn’t very familiar with the area, and she was so helpful directing me to the nearby shoe repair shop. Will definitely be coming back if I need any keys cut!
