Norm Hyatt Locksmiths

Townsville customers repeatedly highlight the speed and reliability of this family-run locksmith business, with several describing how quickly a locksmith arrived to regain entry to a home or unit, including one callout on a public holiday. Reviewers commend the mobile locksmith's persistence, noting one who climbed multiple flights of stairs to fetch the correct equipment and stayed until the job was finished, leaving the site neat. Key duplication and engraving also attract praise, with a customer reporting a second vehicle key completed in under an hour for well under dealership cost, and another thanking Trevor by name for careful, short-notice engraving.

The team's knowledge and patience come through in accounts of problem-solving central locking faults and waiting while a safe key was located. Customers describe work on older Queenslander doorknobs, spring mechanisms and vehicle locks, plus advice on buying from the stocked range of locks and safes. Fair call-out charges and straight answers are recurring themes, along with the family atmosphere and staff who fit jobs in around holidays. One thing mentioned again and again is how problems are handled calmly from first contact through to completion, and the service is described as honest and dependable.

I bought a display stock finger print lock that didn’t like the fingerprints of my partner for some reason. They mucked me around for ages before finally telling me too bad, no refund. Better to go to Ruswin.

Trevor was friendly on the phone, they arrive quickly and price was reasonable.

Fabulous service from these guys. I went in yesterday with an engraving job that I needed done at short notice. Trevor, you’ve done a beautiful job! Thank you so much for the care you took with engraving and thanks to all the team who looked after me.

Amazing and Friendly Staff. Very patient waiting for me to find Safe key 💙

Excellent customer service, ease of purchase, extremely good product range. The best quality products in stock and great advice on purchasing!

Replaced the spring mechanism in our old doorknob from our Queenslander. Works like a charm again, thanks guys!

Cannot recommend these guys enough! Over the years they have fixed both house and car key issues promptly and professionally. Today, they fit me in after the public holiday and helped problem solve an issue with the central locking system on my vehicle. Honest, reliable, helpful service!
